Hello Gents (and ladies),

Search brought up a couple of hits, but I'm looking specifically for any positive feedback on paintless dent removal outfits in Sydney.

Picked up a couple of hail dings a few months ago, selling car shortly so want to weigh up whether to have them fixed up beforehand.

My dealer has given me one guy's name - but would like to hear any independent success stories out there.

Any help appreciated, thank you

Mate give Takis from Brookvale Body Repairs a ring, tell him Ryan sent you. He had a guy come in and get a dent out of my GTS, and although the guy wasn't satisfied and said he could only get about 90% of the dent out, no-one who i have challanged to find the dent could, including me!!!

Hi Gee,

I used THE DENT MAN at Hoyle Ave Castle Hill and am happy with his work. He massaged a ding out of a door caused by a stick that I ran over. Here's his details:

Just had a guy come out to fix two minor dents in my front right guard (one came with the car, one from when mum dropped a spanner on it  ).

Called him up and he was here at my house 40 minutes later.

Really nice guy, and the job he did was perfect.

Just out of curiousity, how much have u guys been paying for the jobs u have got done? Is it much cheaper than taking it to the panel beaters?

Dent Free at brookvale are awesome. Did 3 or 4 dents in my old WRX for around $150.

Ask for Keiran.

Mine was $100. One dent was small but deep (ie: 1c coin sized, but deep), the other was about 7cm long (car door).

Pretty impressive the way he does it too. All done with hand tools.

How does this dent removal actually work? That is, exactly what do they do?

Do Not ... I repeat ... Do Not get dent removel done by a panel beater.

Why do I say this ??? That's what my panel beater told me  When I had the Coupe in getting the bonnet done they got the guy they use to come over and get two dings out of the side (I assume from a shopping centre ???). The car is phantom (black) and one of the dings was right on the crease that runs under the fixed rear window. The result was perfect, you would never know it had been touched. :D

Cost - $120. (I can get the guys name if needed but you seem to have lots to choose from already)

The guy who came here had a toolbox full of oddly-shaped metal things with handles. He squeezes them up behind the guard/door/whatever, and massaged the dent out.

A lot like this:

Thanks for the info and pics. Looks like a bit of an art to do right. I think I'll get a dent in the front guard removed. But this just happened today :( I think it'll need a bit more than dent removal. Result of a grey hyundai doing a U-turn in front of my wife. Manged to damage every panel except the rear
If my wife didn't perform a nice avoidance manoeuvre then the little Hyundai would have had the full force of an SS in the drivers door rather than the right front.

Yep, sure did. She was actually very apologetic and has fully accepted it was her fault.

Thanks. Man you're observant! The bike is a 929cc Firelade (2001). Trying to sell it at the moment and still haven't had any bites despite a pretty low price.

hmm decisions desicions!

I'm in the same boat.

On Thursday I thought I'd park under a nice tree in the car park to get the car out of the heat.

Then the weather turned to wind by the afternoon (and I didnt know because I was in a concrete jungle) until one of the boys ran in and shouted a huge fkn branch just fell on your car!

It left a dent on the bonnet and some minor scratches. The scratches arent the worry, they'll buff out tomorrow when I clean the car and attack with some polish, the dent on the other hand will need to be fixed because its in one of those spots that you see it no matter where you stand as it reflects the sunlight right off it!
