Guys,

Does anyone know where I can source a domestic version of those nice little wheel jacks the V8 teams use that allow you to individually jack up each wheel and then move the car in any direction? They tend to jack up the back wheels and then steer with the front so they can easily swing the cars into the pits.

Does anyone even know what they are called?

TIA

They are generally referred to as go jacks..

You can buy them.. probably try revolution or eastern raceparts..

As pagey says, Revolution Racegear used to sell them. The cost in their 98/99 price list was $290 and $350 each depending on the wheel width and load rating.

I think I paid about $600 each for mine a couple of years ago from Revolution Racegear which suit upto a 14" tyre but there is a model to suit smaller tyres upto about 9".
Snap On make an eqvivalent unit that were about $400 each last time I spoke to the rep.
A lot of the cheaper versions are mearly a skate which requires the car to be jacked up prior to lowering it on to the skate to manoevre which would be a real pain in the arse especially if the car sits reasonably low

I got mine from Auto 1. It was 12 months ago and I think they set me back about $159 each. They have a lifting capacity of 650kg and I use 4 of them to move my boat trailer around the garage (21ft skiboat with 350 chev and sterndrive leg - approx 1600kg). I have also seen them advertised at Bearing shops for similar $'s.
