VX SS Mods

Hi All,

I am new to the LS1 scene and new to this fourm. Let me say its a great site and there is plenty of news/info on here, so thanks posters for all your info. This is a great reference.

I have just bought myself a 2001 VX SS Commodore Seies 2, 5.7. Its a great car, but like all of us, I have already begun to look at modifications. As many posters have said there is so much info out there, so forgive my ignorance. I have spent most of this morning reading and searching for info.

For a start, until I get some more $$$ I want to start with some simple modifications that are not too costly, later this year, I may go a bit silly and spend big $$$

For a start I have installed a K&N Air Filter, as the old one was stuffed. I also read here about the MCAI , I am going to order these parts from Holden today. So thats a start, can someone post me the instructions to install and to make the second hole modification, seen several old posts, but if someone could post these up that would be great.

I also read for a cheap mod you can flash in the new PCM settings and then get a PCM reset for about $85, what does this do exactly and where can I get this done?

Later this year I will get the exhaust LS1 edit etc, but for now just want some cheap mods to get me started.

Any other advice etc would be appreciated. I have just starting using the BP Ultimate premium unleaded, car seems to run much better than the cheap ULP I was using.

First off Welcome to the Forum mate.
its good to se you have done a bit of research into the world of the LS1, the MCAI and two hole mod is money well spent, its not hard to do ,just need a hole saw.
you can do the PCM reset your self mate just do a search on PCM reset.
