This would be for the admins..

Can you guys increase the limit of new post per page from 40 to 200, this would make viewing new post alot quicker.

Great idea, perhaps give us the option to choose up to 200...and I only can get 25 posts per page

jneil under "user cp"; "edit options"; "number of posts to show per page"; then set it to "show 40 posts per page".

unfortunately, 40 is the most we can do without some modification to the forum software... so you will have to live with it :)

From what I can gather it would require another Hack to the code and with v3.5 of the software due in a few months time I don't want to add any more hacks as the new version allows hacks and mods to be easilly transported to new version/patch revisions ..

Every upgrade usually takes me around 4-6 hours to do because of the number of "hacks" already made to the code to customise it.

Will re visit this once the upgrade to v3.5 happens.

I don't get over 25 posts on the "New Posts" threads even though I have it set at 40, but I do on normal forum threads?

Anyway hopefully the new version should fix that right up.

Good work!

Edit: and before anybody says...I have deleted all cookies and offline content and rebooted, still only 25 for new posts.

I get 25 threads displayed per page, but 40 posts on a page of a thread.

If anyone is interested this is how I get around this problem now...

After you click in "New Post" just add this to the link--> &pp=200
So if you have http://www.ls1.com.au/forum/search.php?searchid=985773,
You will have http://www.ls1.com.au/forum/search.php?searchid=985773&pp=200 after adding the extra bit.
This will allow you to view 200 new post per page.
