Hi all, its been a while since I've last been logged in and I apologise if i'm late on any info on this topic but whatever happened to CSV?

I haven't read or seen an article on any CSV cars in either Wheels or Motor in a long time. I haven't even seen a pic of a CSV in any VY or VZ guise. Any idea whats going on?

The website hasn't been updated for a while - the cars are VX series.

They are still around, and going strong. Why not call him on 03 9311 1588. Same number, same location in Sunshine as it has always been.

does anyone have a rough idea how much it would cost to paint the "guard flares" body colour like on the X8 there?

Thats the same colour our Adventra is and I reckon the body coloured flares make the car look alot better then the black plastic feel of it.

I know your going to say "ask a spray painter / panel beater / smash repairer" but I thought in the little chance someone in that industry is browsing this thread they may be able to give me a ball park figure?

What is CSV now up to since they closed shop in Sunshine and gone back to Mildura? Where do the Melbourne customers go for back up service?

I don't know... There's been some pretty tough competition lately!

I was told Peter would be setting up a shop nearby his former premises where he would come down once a month to perform tunes. I don't think this ever eventuated. Someone else might know more.

Don't think it would be worth the hassle of him setting somewhere up to come down for tunes once in a while..

He told me in December he was releasing a CSV VE TT in March, might be delayed but I hope to see it I love his productions. The sole purpose for him moving shop back to Mildura was so he could focus on making CSV cars.

The shop was to be set up to carry out only mechanical modifications and general services. The tuning component was to be set up by booking customers cars for them to be their on a particular day where he would come down and do the tunes. Otherwise he said he would be able to do the tunes remotely from his laptop. The shop would have a dyno but no longer carry out any body and spray painting duties.

I like Peter because he always has time to talk to customers. He yakked to me on the phone for maybe 30 mins when I was looking for info on VY PCM tuning.

I like Peter's work because he offers affordable alternatives. Roll in a VE HSV and he will fit a 7.0L Corvette engine for you for around $20k - $25k?

How much for a 2nd hand VE HSV? $40k? Plus $25K for the 7.0L engine. We're up to $65k - right? Doesn't sound too bad to me.

My preference would be for the factory 6.2L engine with the blower. 819Nm of torque sounds mighty impressive.

think about this..

Why would you move from melb if your business here is doing well only to move back to mildura with a smaller population and less $$$$.

i think theres more to this story than meets the eye.

He was previously from Mildura, he set up here around the vt-vx era....

What I was told is his focus was to move back because he wanted to stop doing small work for customers and focus on producing CSV cars. Look how well he did on his last one the CSV427 that was just an engine package cover car on Wheels and even made news in America. I hope he continues to do well up there.
