What About the Cats? [Archive] - Australian LS1 and Holden Forums

Hi all, just picked up a VU2 SS Ute M6, and have made enquirys about upgrading the exhaust to a 2 and a half inch split system using H&M try Y'S, a Red Back centre muffler and then straight out each side. My question is "What About the Cats?"

I have been told a few times to leave the standard cats on and they will modify them to fit. Is this any good or do i need to buy new cats?

Any advice would be very much aprciated.

The standard cats are fine.
Make sure they replace the restricitve inlet and outlet pipes with new 2.5 inch pipes.
