Hey guys, as the title says, I am getting a new custom system fitted to my '99 R8 soon, so will have the HSV stainless 2 1/4 (I am pretty sure :) ) to get rid of.

I believe that it is the original exhaust that was fitted, as I am the 2nd owner and the people before me were older and used it as a weekend driver; as a result the car only has 48k on the clock.

I friend of mine has already stated that she would like to take it off my hands for her new this year V6 Commodore. (VZ executive I think?)

Will my system fit to her car with no problems, or is there something that would prevent it?

Is it worthwhile for her to do so, as I have no idea of the quality of the newer exhaust systems on the V6 models?

What would be a fair price for a HSV catback system with 48k on it? (I have only looked at the underneath of the pipes when I had my tyres replaced recently, and it looked to be in very good condition, no scrape marks/holes or anything that I could see)

Thanks for your advice. :)

I think that a dual 2 1/4 System is just going to be way to large for a VZ V6.

from what i understand a twin 2" system is ideal, twin 2.25" is more suited to a sc6 or a 5litre.

pretty sure 2.25" flows slightly more than a single 3" system.

just re-read the thread and realise now you meant the new alloytech engine.
im guessing it'd be the same as with the ecotecs, but then again it could not be.

sorry mate.

Yeah mine is the 5.7L, hers is whatever the V6's have hehe.

Thanks for the replies guys, I'll just ask Greg and the guys at Sureflow when I pop in there Tuesday to get mine replaced. I don't want to waste her time if it wont be suitable for her car. :)
