Hey,
I've just installed a GenPD and its getting tuned on Monday. Just wondering what sort of fuel economy to expect. What are ppl are getting with their blowers? I know that if you put the boot in it will rip through it but im more interested in highway L/100km. I've heard figures of around 5-8L/100k?

Cheers guys,
Jez

Jezzab,
Before fitting the Gen-PD my fuel consumption on the open road average was around 10.8 L/100km. Around the city 15-16 L/100km. (MAFless tuned 3.46 diff auto)
After fitting the Gen-PD the fuel consumption on the open road has been as low as 9.5 L/100km and around the city an average of 14-15 L/100km and as good as 12.5 L/100km in off peak city driving. The tune for the Gen-PD included DFCO and lean cruise (custom tune by ST)

Interestingly enough, today I was on the freeway @ 100km/h @ 1800rpm and the inst. fuel was showing around 8l/h (or 8L/100km) but around town its been SHOCKING (but then again isn't tuned, the MAF's been ripped off and the engine light's on and im saying under 2500rpm)

Steady speed cruising should be in closed loop mode using the O2 sensors to control the fuel. I would assume that it would deliver similar fuel consumption to when the MAF was fitted.
Open loop operation would be using the Speed density mode as your MAF is disconnected. The VE table for this mode would be crude at best as it was only meant as a backup if the MAF was to fail.

Hi all,

Slightly off topic but not completely.

Does the Gen PD come with an auxilary fuel pump? If so, how is it installed? In series with the factory pump? If so, how does this affect fuel flow when the factory pump is running solo?

Nup, it doesn't come with another pump.
