Admiring a HSV

Just saw this off the NSW police website news rounds for the last day or two:

• At 2.38pm yesterday, officers detected a vehicle travelling at 151km/h in a 110km/h zone on the Hume Highway at Mittagong. The driver, a 21-year-old man, was stopped issued with an infringement for speeding and not displaying P-plates. When spoken to he said, “I was just admiring a HSV Commodore which was driving along side me”.

Question is, how come the HSV wasnt stopped and how fast would they of been going?? hehe :confused:

He called it an HSV Commodore...must not be paying attention. Obviously the other car had enough brains to slow down/pull of before being detected..hmmm... i detect a slight hint of a lie.

Then again..maybe the coppers took this car because they didnt think they could catch up to the HSV? :)

Either way, no sympathy for the kid not showing P plates, he won't enjoy what is heading his way.

They'll probably book him for racing as well after a statement like that.......
