Guys (and gals),
I am in the process of finalising negotiations for a 2003 VY Clubsport R8 :box: . I am just interested in seeing what you would personally pay for this car. (yes I know the red book guide prices). Futhermore what is the lowest price anyone has seen one go for recently?
2003 R8 Clubsport Y series 1
Black
Sunroof
Logs (39,000kms) with full service history
4 speed Auto
10 months rego.
Cheers,
Daz.

Ive seen a few in the low 40's. The series 2 (non R8) sold up here for $49990 new and a few are around the 35-40k mark now. A nice low K R8 should get around 38-42k if your lucky.

Last week I bought a 2003 VY Clubsport - non R8 from a dealer A4 38kms sat nav for $39,000 (I think i paid too much but was in a hurry). So I'd say you'd be lookin at $40k for a private sale of an R8.
Your problem at the moment is trying to move a expensive second hand v8 in this market, otherwise I'd have guessed anywhere up to $45. Also with new VZ clubbies going for $50k before on roads doesnt help your cause.
If you don't sell it before more VE news comes out you'll be in more strife though... but then again fuel might come down more and help you... who knows... obviously not me :D

in that case apologies... but it's very hard to tell given the ways it's written. Either way I guess the advice still applies. :D

Cheers for the feedback.
I have just concluded the deal. I basically got a cracking deal :D . The car was coming off a lease agreement and I have brought it from the company for $32,000.
I know that to some people it sounds like I am full of sh@t but it's 100% true and I am stoked.
This sort of deal doesn't come along very often and certainly is no guide as to what price this model demands in the open market.
Well done, that is a ripper price for the car

Guys I am absolutely over the moon  Thanks for the positive feedback.
I couldn't get a decent payrise out of the company so at least I have clawed something back!
I'll post a few pics up tomorrow when I pick up the car.
Glad to be part of the club.!! I look forward to being a regular participant on this forum.
