Just got the new Street Commodores "issue 104" & it has 12 pages of Craig Munro's VX R8 "TRYHRD" - must say what a great read!! 500k was spent on this beast that may see 2000rwhp at the nats!

The mag hits the news stands on the 14th so run out and grab a copy!!

I was at Craig's place about a month ago & it was going "SOUNDS INSANE!!"

But when ya playing with cars like that for the HP Hero's anything can happen!

If your going to spend half a million dollars on a car to make 2000HP or there abouts, what is the real point of it? Realistically it couldnt be driven on the street or even track? It seems a waste with all that money just to chase a dyno number?

That cost goes into all of the stages (and stuff ups with things going wrong a long the way) of the build.

The funny thing is he does drive it on the street, but not in its 2000rwhp form.

As I said in the other thread - I'm sure his family aren't starving because he's pumping all his money into his Commodore. If he wants to spend money on it, and can afford to - why not?

I've got mates who think the $4k worth of mods I spent on my Calais is "stupid". It's all relative.

This would have to be the most talked up car over the last 5 years or so, every time it was supposed to deliver it failed, the word "MAY" would be a good bet in my books :rolleyes:

The current guys involved with it carry a lot of hype and need to put it all to rest, time will tell :bash:

There were a few that got on the rollers but did not want to play after they were set up :confused:
