Guys,

The intellegent people at Hogs Breath in Collaroy rang me tonight regarding our booking for Saturday night. They have closed down for 2-3 weeks as of today for Renovations and will not be open on Saturday night.

I do not currently have a venue for Saturday Night, however i am open for suggestions. Needless to say it could be difficult to get a booking for 25 people on such short notice.

If anyone has a suggestion on the northen beaches then please let me know. Otherwise i will try and figure something out in the mean time. Watch this thread for more information

A mate of mine owns a restaurant on the water at Manly called the Barracuda. It is really nice and the food is excellent. He told me he will easily fit 25 people in on Saturday and will do 2 course dinner for $40 or 3 course Dinner for $50. There is a parking station right behind that is $2 an hour and quite safe. The Restaurant has its own bar to and beer on tap. He says if we get in quick he can give you guys your own section. If you are interested let me know.

Add +1 for the missus-to-be too... originally she wasn't looking like she could make it but now i have brownie points to spend (more like she has the night free!)

Guys,

A big thanks to Red CV8 R for getting us a booking at the "Barracuda" in Manly.

Since we are in manly i say we all meet up at North Head at 5:30PM for some photos against the sunset over the city backdrop and then wonder down for some dinner about 6-6:30.

Does everyone know how to get up to North Head where the Army Barricks are?

The restaurant is called the Barracuda Restaurant and is at 49 North Steyne, Manly. It is close to the Manly Pacific Hotel (No 55)

Look for "Darley Road" in Manly, follow it up past Manly Hospital, keep on going and just follow it through the sandstone arch, keep on going over the nasty speed humps, and go to the end, you get to a roundabout. Hang a left and keep on following it along and you will see there is a little lookout on the right hand side. That is where we should be.

Ill have my mobile on so just give me a call if you get lost, basically keep following darley road out towards the heads until you goto the roundabout.

It pays to always check the date of the first post before reading the thread. It has caught me out before as well.

Nice gesture however from Mr Pizza...even though it is a tad late.

Why dont you organise another cruise (for this year)?

I know a good way to get the biggest turn out of VE cars...

anyone with a new VE or E-series can have one free pizza? :yahoo:

Seriously - sounds like a good spot and excuse for a cruise before Xmas.

Maybe a Wollongong to Padstow cruise as an option?

:werd: Like the idea but I live in Padstow so it wouldn't really be a cruise for me now would it? I finally get my car back this tuesday after 7 weeks of not having it so I am keen. How bout eat at the Pizza shop and head off for a cruise from there? I could only imagine 20+ nice LS1 cars in Padstow seriously people would freak.

However I am up for anything so you can organise something, but it may be an idea to start a new thread as this is a year old

Dane.
