The edit will have to wait a little bit. I am considering options about it and I think I'll be asking plenty of questions on Saturday night about it.
I need to find out how it would affect my lease and warranty and so forth before I do it.
Sooooooooo jealous right now
I saw one at a Perth workshop...680kms on clock...supercharger etc..etc..etc.. spent 22k on top of purchase, not even a thousand kms on it  :bash:
But if you got the cash, why not! Instead of a Porsche, spend it on mods and thrash anything on the road!

An edit shouldnt have any effect on your warranty or lease. Its undetectable by Holden at service time. The only way they could detect it would be to send the computer away and analyse and compare it against a standard computer. That being said, some holden dealerships are offering to do edits prior to giving you the car.
Speak to Sonny from Marranos Enhancement Division on Saturday night at the dinner and he will be able to answer all your questions. Enjoy

you sure on that ? from my personal experience Holden can pick that something has been changed...they dont know what but can see that its not doing what its supposed to be doing....

Everything that i have read and heard is that the only way holden know its been changed is if they send the PCM away to be analysed. Otherwise they could just reflash their program back onto the PCM blowing away your edit.
Dont quote me on it, but im 99.9% sure they can only tell if they send it away to be analysed

Iv heard that edits from the reputable tuners wont even be able to be flashed over....i guess the only way we will know is if all the tuners post :D

Yeah the bottom set are called fog lights by holden and they do light up. It actually looks quite good with them all on.

welcome to the CV8-Z club mate! :D
Thanks mate.....funny thing happened today in Concord Road.
I pulled up at a set of lights and another Fusion pulls up on the other side of the lights going the opposite way.
Well we were both high beaming each other and smiling alot....he was obviously rapped to see another one same as I was.
All the other cars stopped there were looking back and forth across the lights at the pair of us.....was funny as hell.

If they lock the PCM with a password, then i dont think you can flash over it without the password. Dont hold me to that one though.

I saw a Devil Yellow CV8Z last night driving home on the Monash Freeway. As he pulled closer to me on the outside lane I wound down the window and gave him the thumbs up. He couldn't get the smile off his face. These Monaro virgins are a special breed on the road.
Is it me, or are the rear tail lights tinted differently to the original CV8-Rs?
Cheers,
Steve

Steve,
I believe the tail lights are tinted differently. I got my fusion on friday and have not been able to get the grin off my face. The biggest impression i got was the difference of exhaust note from the series 1 to this one. (you can actually hear it)...

You're preaching to the converted. I've been enjoying the VZ exhaust since day 1. Dunno what day I'm up to now but it's over 10,000ks later and still enjoy it to this day, and kilometer.

Thanks NickS....the dinner pics make it look really dark because the sun was way down and thats the nice thing about the duco on these. It looks completely different in the daylight. It sorta goes from gold on top to black on the sides in strong light. When it gets darker it takes on that really rich gold colour.
one of my fave cars on the road....looks tough
