gday fellas,
quick question iv done a search with no prevail, my engine at idle sounds like a tensoiner bearing is no good 'shhhhhhh' noise(like i vaccum leak sound) im wondering if anyone can confirm this and could let me know how much it is to replace the tensoiners.

if you have a 6 speed it might be a noisey input sharft in the gearbox. Try pressing the clutch when the car is idling and see if the noise goes away

it doesnt go away, its definatly like a tension noise or something along those lines. sound like the motors sucking air from a broken hose but definatly isnt. iv checked all the vaccum hoses?????

did you check the pcv hose thats on the drivers side of the throttle body, these are known th split. it happened to me its like a moulded rubber hose about 3/8 or 1/2 inch diameter from memory. and only maybe 2 inches long.

i just replaced the idler pulley on mine, cost 50 beans i believe (was under warranty but i asked what they are worth).....it didnt sound like a vaccum, more of a whistling noise which went away when the engine was warm (turned out they had to replace the drive belts too), so i think you may be looking for something else
