Hi Guys,

On the weekend I took my VT2 R8 down to Steve at F1 for my first mod : an OTRCAI and a mafless tune (besides the existing catback exhaust from the previous owner).

Dyno before mods: 200.4 RWKW
Dyno post mods: 228.4 RWKW

Very happy with the job done. The car performs like a new machine- much more power and reponse at the throttle, and a noticable improvement in transmission. I no longer get thrown back into 1st when I plant the foot, instead I get an even power curve that's far more effective.

The engine bay is much neater now that I've dispensed with the MAF pipe and air filter. Steve did a top job cutting the radiator shroud to suit the intake - it looks better than ever. And the engine note!! I now get a deeper growl from under the bonnet. So much so that I've been driving with the window down ever since! :)

Only problem is that I'm now resisting the urge to do the extractors.....paitence.

Very happy with F1.

Just had my car done by Steve as well (Maf tune) with excellent results. I thought the R8 came standard with extractors.

I've only got a couple of pictures from my mobile camera, they're a little grainy but they should give you the idea. Well worth the money Shane, I say go for it.
I do have extractors but I've been told to upgrade the stock HSV extractors as they're pretty average.

Crap cough Crap, even the stock Holden Manifolds
were shown to flow very well in the Sams Performance
header test. I am sure the HSV items went pretty well
also. Don't waste your $ chasing HP with headers, it's
money spent better in other ways. I could probly chase
that header test up for you if you like, It was published
in Street Machine, and I probly have it sitting it the
cupboard somewhere.

Thanks for the article Black346. Looks like the HSV headers aren't that crash hot though. They came out right down the bottom of the pile, even less than standard headers?!
