Guys,

It has come to my attention that a certain member of this forum (not a sponsor) has been PMing (many) members about Sonny and Marrano's, stating that I am unhappy with my car and the service that I have received from Sonny.

This is completely false. I am absolutely happy with my car. The only comment I made to this member was that I wish I hadn't spent so much money on my car (I'm sure we've all felt the same). This doesn't in any way mean that I am unhappy with a) the result, or b) Sonny's prices. It simply means that, if I had my time over, I probably wouldn't have spent so much money on car modifications.

This member has also made comments to the effect that my car does not run the times "one would expect". *Newsflash* M6's are harder to punt down the 1/4. Newsflash I suck at driving down the 1/4. I'm sure if DeeJay or BIG SHAUN took my car for a run, and it had the appropriate tyres, it would quite easily be capable of a 11 second pass. I'm equally sure that if I had spent up big on suspension/rubber/UDB/ported TB/other parts and removed my exhaust, with a bit of skill even I could achieve this result. ;)

I am disappointed that this member has deliberately gone out of his way to 1) Spread lies and 2) Undermine a legitimate performance shop for his own agenda. If you receive a PM from this member saying I am unhappy with my results, it is 100% complete BS. PM me if you would like to hear the facts.

Please don't turn this into another shitfight. :rolleyes:

PS: I know Sonny didn't want to get dragged into this crap. Sonny - I'm sorry about this, but I felt it had to be said. I know you'd rather ignore this crap and get on with your good work.

I've also recently discovered the same person has been spreading lies about me too. Comments were made to the effect that I have "badmouthed" Sonny and his work. This is not true.

I am a customer of Dick's, and I am also a customer of Sonny's (just like at least two other forum members).

I have had good work done by Dick, and I have experienced good work done by Sonny (Red-Drop's car being one example).

I have never badmouthed either of these forum sponsors, and I do not appreciate people going behind my back saying that I have.

Its not the first time this has happened here. PPl hide behind their keyboards and like to play games. Ive personally recieved PM's from sponsors bad-mouthing other sponsers. (why to me ill never know). Comments made on #ls1 IRC have also been taken out of context and emailed with no other purpose than to cause harm.

There are plenty of rumors and lies being spread by this forum which is getting beyond a joke. Some members young and old really need to grow up and live their own lives, not butt into other ppls business.

From my experiance, Sonny is been nothing but a gentleman, helps with advice when i wasnt even i customer and due to distance probably never will be. Ive also NEVER heard a bad word come from him about anyone. Its sad that someone that gives such good service should be dragged down like this.

Justice summed up in another thread that one of the biggest problems with this forum is the PM function, because it allows the propogation of bullshit such as this through the use of chinese whispers. This would appear to be just another example of the sort of crap that goes on behind the scenes.

Someone says something that gets told to someone else, who then PM's it to f*ck knows who & next thing it's gospel in LS1.com land. How ridiculous. :mad:

If this is the case, why hasn't anyone reported the member/s responsible to the moderation team? Forwarding us an exact UNEDITED copy of the offending PM should be the first step.
Members who have misused the PM function in the past (such as trawling for new members of their own forums :rolleyes: or constantly abusing another member) have been removed/banned.
