Hay Just Brought a Direct port Nitrous Kit for my Ls1.
Just Wondering if anyone could give me any info on what size jets to run. My engine is Stock, i have custom made exhaust manifold with a three inch stainless exhaust system. Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers

Your exhaust really has little to do with the nitrous system itself. I'm hoping you plan on upgrading the fuel system? Get a larger fuel pump and a 2nd regulator for the nitrous fuel feed (if you bought a nitrous wet system...you're silly if you didn't).
On a stock engine, you'd be "safe" to run up to 50HP without retarding anything or doing anything extra special. You can take it up to 100HP, provided you do some fuel modifications, retard the timing a little (maybe 1 to 2 degrees, not alot) and put in spark plugs that can run a little hotter. Standard spark plugs WILL melt. I've melted one before in a previous car from running too lean - lucky it didn't drop onto the piston.
There is alot more to do really, but the nessessities are:
1. Upgrade your fuel system
2. Run different spark plugs at the track
3. Retard the timing a smidge
4. Sit back and enjoy the ride :D

Yea, I know it a Ford, but it was hellishly fun to drive with that stuff. Unfortunetly, I was pulled over one day, and in QLD - you can't even have any lines plumbed into your car, regardless if you got a bottle in or not. So I got busted. Always a learning curve :D

Ouch. :(
Mind me asking what the damage was? I've heard it's hefty...

"put in spark plugs that can run a little hotter. Standard spark plugs WILL melt".
Why would you run a hotter spark plug if the ones you had melted????
Isnt it the other way around? You would want to at least run 1 to 2 heat ranges colder........... ;)

Make sure you get some better valve springs (Comp Cam)to take the load.
Have fun :D

My 04 GTO is putting 500 RWHP and 600 RWTQ to the ground with Heads/Cam/Intake/Headers/Valves/Springs etc. all modified and of course a Nitrous Express 100 shot wet....its all good....

You'll love it...always use the safety components...WOT switch/Fuel Pressure Switch/Window Switch....Bottle Heater.....and never "hit it" with less than 950-1000 lbs of pressure and you will be good for a long long time to come....
