I recently installed V2 Monaro headlights into my VT SS after reading up on the process on here forum mainly and being aware of well known problems such as the battery needing to be moved back to make way for the RH light, etc. What I discovered is that the fitting is not 'easy' or 'simple' as many people describe it to be.

I had no worries with the battery clearance and instead had to remove my stock cold air intake pipe to make room for my LH light. This was completed without refitting the air pipe and prior to changing the wiring that must be done under the steering column casing (white wire spliced with white/black wire). All lights glowed perfectly except for the high beams which didn't even appear to be trying to glow.

Has anyone else come across this (especially with the intake pipe, which I had never heard of) and/or know what to do.
