Have any of you fellas seen this? This is the wickedest looking tint on the face of the earth. http://www.tintmart.com.au/tinting.htm#ibp is there a site for infinity films or??? This seems NON-existant here, and fairly rare everywhere else... I want it. I don't care what it costs. :D

im confused. Are they applying it to the outside of the glass in one of those photos?

it looks like it, but the tint is made to go on the inside... they might just have a window out of the car???

Looks like they are moulding it to the shape of the window first so they get a perfect fit in the inside. ;)

i don't like tints on cars i think a car looks much better without them, cars with tints look so 8t's. that's my opinion well may be a very very light tint.

Come back to me during summer. Doesn't matter what it looks like, but sure helps keep the car cooler and your air-con not running as hard as it has to.

AND it looks cool.

Many a perception out there that tinting reduces visibility. Sure, from the outside looking in, it seems dark but that's the nature of light. From the inside looking out, there's hardly a difference at all; with LEGAL limits of tinting that is.

Cheers,
Steve

I have dark tint all round - makes traveling with the missus and kid heaps easier when it's sunny. Also makes the car a much nicer place to be when its been parked under the summer sun for a while.

We recently had our Sportage done by Tint a car and
it certainly helps keep temps down. No where near
as dark as the stuff shown at the start of the thread
though, and I got the darkest legal tint. Interesting
little bit of info the tinter told me before he went ahead
and applied it was that if we ever move to SA, they may
well ask us to take the tint off the front windows before
passing the car for rego. Went on to say that it is the
only state in Australia that has different tint laws (harsher).
Guess you can go as dark as you want if you are willing
to risk having to remove it if told to.

The darkest legal tint allowed here (and I assume from what you said everywhere except SA) is not very dark at all. I had an illegally dark tint on my red SV8 and it looked really good and worked very well, but I was always concerned about whether the insurance company would use it as an escape clause if I had an accident that was my fault.

Therefore haven't bothered on the SS, but if the black pearl as pictured is legal I'll certainly be trying to find it down here!

The tint on mine is darkest legal flat black on all windows except rear screen, which is a bit darker again. Cos the tint is flat black and the car is white, it looks really dark anyway. Also, the receipt they gave me states "darkest legal all round" (I know the owner of the business...)

They are shrinking it to fit the mould of the glass, which is done on the out side, then tint is then applied to the inside a perfect fit. We have a tint shop in far north queensland Ultimate Car Care & we use Black Pearl from Tint Mart so shop around in your area u might find one of you local tint shops stocks it. The black pearl is 35% witch is the darkest leagal in qld.

It's only my opinion but I think the mirrored tints look terrible - really cheesy and try hard. I have a reasonably dark tint on mine that was already there when I bought the car and having had cars without tint I love it. It keeps the car much cooler and looks good.

Cheers
Liam.

My Monaro is tinted with a product called ICT. It was done by Berwick Holden.

It looks similar to the pictures. The brighter the sun is , the darker they are. They also reflect the sun light which make them even darker. It is all legal, but they just do not look legal.

They normally use Tint-A-Car in Narre Warren but ICT doesn't sound like a Tint-A-Car product.......

I saw a ute with a "mirror" tint at the wedding Voodoo and I did last weekend. No idea if it was the same stuff but I thought it looked awful - like the windows were all fogged up permanently :)

Cheers
