Has anyone seen the new Ford ad with the kid playing with the scalextric track?? He's racing what looks like a 350Z and it gets to a corner going to fast and flys off the track. Kid loves it. Then he gets a Dodge Viper and the same off happens at the same corner. Kid loves it again. Then there's an XR6 and the voice over goes on about DSC and TC and the XR cruises at high speed around the corner where the others flew off and flys around the track at high speed without crashing or flying off. Kid hates it.

All I've gotta say is it's a clever ad, and avoids that nanny Harold scrubby wanker taking them to court because it breaches advertising standards... suffer in ya jocks scrubby. :booty:

Another thing to say, it makes the latest Holden ad for the SSZ look absolutely pathetic... WTF is wrong with Holdens advertising team?? they should all be fired... I find myself cringing when Holden ads come on, and as a Holden fan, that's not what i want to be doing... I want to be impressed and wanting a car, not shaking my head and wondering what the f*ck they were thinking... :bash:

I thought it was quite clever also.
Sometimes Ford is surprising

Ford has had it all over Holden and HSV in the advertising side of things for ages now. :(

Saw the ad last night, very clever. The little fella said "that sucks car is really fast"

what about the ad with the gearboxes?
i guess they've addressed the problems and are turning the archilies heel into a marketing/selling point. Nice spin doctoring, but good on them putting their balls on the line

About time Ford woke up : the Dork in the blue suit just makes one want to puke: Hardly any current car ads would convince me to walk into a new car showroom.

I forgot about those shockers ... I amend my statement to;

FPV has had it all over Holden / HSV

I wonder how many females Holden has on their advertising/marketing team...

Also noticed last night on channel 10 a short ad at about 930 saying Ford 'engineers' would be online for the next hour for a webchat to answer questions about Ford's stability control, etc.
Something novel.
First thought was all the Holden fans flocking there to pay the crap out of them.

For me, Ford ad = reach for the remote and change the channel :D

Considering there's a decent amount of Ford talk on this forum, be it their superior advertising and marketing or latest FPV range, does that mean you'll soon be avoiding this forum also??

have to say the Ford ads have certainly picked up in the last few years. Boy they used to have some shockers. IMO Holden had the better ads. Still do in some cases.

agree'd .. Add is good, and I also agree about the XR6/XR8 test drive. Ford's arent what they used to be. They acctually handle and ride like nothing else.

Anyone else notice that it has allmost identical VY SS Commodore wheels with 3 groves taken out towards the top of each spoke. Looks sweet, but can they rip anything more off Holden?

So let me get this straight .... A Falcon ain't even got enough power to lose traction ...

Where's the fun in that :D

The Holden version of that ad would have the kid squeeze the trigger and the clubby fill the house with smoke instantly ... Mmmmmmmm ... now there's an ad!!!

I'm surprised how advertising from our beloved brands seems to polarise people in the opposite direction? You can read people on ford forums bagging Ford's marketing department, and praising the SSZ ads (which I think are also clever...)

I do like the Ford ads too though, both the it and the one with the German flogging outdated trannies with sausage are clever.

Certainly better than the 380 ads for Mitsu...
