Hello All,

Just thought id share this if anyones thinking of changing their shifter to a Australian Ripshift type shifter...
I had one fitted by Eastern Automotive(paul manuell racing) in East Tamaki today.. All I can say is wow! wat a difference it made.... 2nd to 3rd lightning fast..sloppiness gone also 4th to 5th fast... gearbox now feels so rock solid.. makes driving the car ( VYII R8) so much better and enjoyably now.. I want to keep changing gears now! Its very similar to the rip shift ive been told.. so if anyones thinking of doing this... just go for it... you wont believe the difference after fitted..

So is it an actual Ripshift or a knock off, What $ are they charging for one?

Its a copy of the Ripshifter... the one ive got is called a PWR short shifter (paul wheel racing) they also are the agents for all the PWR part6s here in NZ ie. superchargers etc.. Its been developed in conjunction with Powertorque in australia I was told... cost around $750.

I've had a Ripshift from Phonsy for over a year now and love it :headbang:
Drove a mates ute the other day , had forgotten how agricultural the stock shifter felt (just like a tractor) :stick:

PS I know someone bringing the Ripshift and Textralia Clutches in to NZ at a pretty sharp price. PM me if interested

Cheers
