Hey guys,

Just curious as i have been searching on suspension setups for my ute and have realised that no-one uses lovells springs. I have used Lovells on all my cars in the past and had excellent results and was considering to do so again.

Is there any reason for the lack of Lovells users?

Hey PSI, Ive been wondering this myself. I know someone that retails them - they reckon they are sweet - thinking of lowering the SS... interested to hear some first hand also...

Im going to get a set of sports lows for the front and super lows for the rears for my VU SS ute so ill let you know how things go. ;)

my guess would be that maybe no one has asked that question before and you will find there will be a few out there
i am one myself that uses lovells as well because ive always had good results with them
I have a set of super lows in my ute front and rear and love them- still using the standard fe2 shocks though- no probs so far and nice ride
i would check coil choice as where i got mine from has the listing that with super lows the rear coils are set 15mm lower to compensate for the rear end height
have about 8000km on mine now and it sits nice and level

Fair few Lovells users out there. Personally Im a Kings user and have been for some time (tho I had a brief affair with Lovells), but my Kings days are ending...I've had one too many pairs sag too early in life.

What kind of prices are you guys paying for Lovells super lows?

If that is for 4 springs mate that is an excellent price.

Who are you getting that price through?

Hi all,

Just some quick info on some springs I've used.
I have used Lovells (sports low I think) in a VU and a VZ ute previously, and they seemed OK until I brought my lastest VZ and I tried some Kings in it and there is no comparision between them.
The Lovells were approx. 10mm lower than my current Kings, which I know will make a difference, but the Kings seem great. The ride around town is almost par with the standard FE2 springs.
The Kings are progressive wound springs and the Lovells were linear.
The ride height with the Kings is approx. 340mm centre of hub to the guard, and on the rear it is 350mm.
The Kings part numbers are KHFL-47 for the front, and KHRL-46HD for the rear.

The Kings are a great all round spring, unlike my Kings super, super lows on my Monaro which look great, but are a real compromise.

All Ute owners, do yourself a favour and buy a holden 15mm rear (anti) swaybar, the same size that HSV run. The standard rear bar is 13mm, and the 15mm bar makes a huge difference.
I let a guy drive my ute this afternoon with the 15mm bar, and he was very impressed. The Ute sits very flat doing 100Kph weaves across the road. The Ute now feels really planted.
Price? less than $40 trade, including 2 x 15mm mount rubbers.
The only negative is, they are a real pain in the butt to install. All the best.
