Hey Mate, do a search on here as a few people already lower their cars by replacing the springs with King Springs Lows & Super Lows.

Should be a ton of info floating around.

All depends on your budget :D

Tyres: 18inch performance tyres (potenzas etc) will be bloody expensive. I would settle for something like GTs OR.....if your tight for money after buying the rims go for a set of seconds. Most tyre places will do you a good deal and at least you can then get 6-12 months out of them.

Srings: King springs will cost you about $450 supplied and fitted depending on where you go. Whiteline/Eibach etc will set you back about $600 and $800 respectively fitted.

just get some 2nd hand FE2 suspension...cost you about 100 bucks.

FE2 makes your car look like a 4WD. Stock makes your car look like a Moster truck. Dont muck around with the FE2, go the aftermarket.

no way man...i have a calais and the height on that is nice...any lower than FE2 really degrades the ride quality...

Not if you go aftermarket with a Koni/Billistein shock combination. It will only improve. FE2 is nothing to write home about.

yes that is correct, FE2 was an option but not as nice on the ride ;)

fe2 is shit its ride is harsh for the height, i had my car lowered 1.5 inch lower than fe2 and it rides smoother used pedders sports springs and shocks...

i still want it lower :)

Howdy mate, I lowered my VY SS a few months ago, I purchased my springs from Allied Engineering on Port Rd near South Road. They have the specs for all cars and I told them I wanted to go 2" lower than stock. These cost me about $250 I think for all springs.
