Gday all, Thinkin bout buying a Monaro. I have 2 kids, one 4 and one 18mths. The 4 year old is in a small booster seat(no straps required, just seatbelt), and the 18mth old is still in a baby seat. My questions are, is there mounts in the rear of a Munro for the baby seat(where exactly l,r or centre), in REALITY how hard/easy is it to access the rear and lastly whats the legroom/space in the rear like....cheers Shaun

1. Yes there are mounts, they are under the rear headrests, unsure about one in the centre.
2. I have never put a child in the back seat of one but it should be easy enough. I am a big guy and can get in and out of the back without too much difficulty. They only complaints I have read is that some people feel the seat moves forward too slowly, it never bothered me though.
3. Like I just said I am a big guy 188cm and sit comfortably in the back, leg room is not much less than a Commodore. The most noteable difference is headroom but I still fit ok.
Cheers,
Paul

I agree with Paul. I'm a big guy too...6 foot 4 and I can get in and out ok.
The slow seats are pretty bad tho....slow as a wet week.

Personally i dont know about the mounts but i dont think that there would be any in the middle as it only has 2 rear seats
I feel that its a bit awkward to get in and out if u are an adult but once u are in, the headroom and legroom is great for a normal sized adult. if u are tall, u may touch the roof but i find it spacious and comfortable. the wife doesnt like enclosed spaces and wont sit in the back cause she cant get out in a hurry.

We also have a 4 year old,...she easily hops in the back seat clips her own belt on, no prob..........the leg room for an adult in back is fine but,...reaching in to fit your bub into the baby seat is a pain !! ie/ you have to sqeeze thru, you and bub, kinda one foot in, one foot out and altho some will say " so ? " it is a pain.
As i said, no prob. when old enough to jump in and clip up by themselves. cheers David Mc.

We have 3 yo twins. The baby seats go in fine, as stated, anchor points are behind the headrests and there is nothing in the centre. We don't have too much trouble with getting them in and out of their seats.
Having said that, if the Monaro was the only car they were travelling in, it may get annoying after a while.
The seats moving forward are a bit slow though.

You guys with baby seats, what do you put under them to protect the leather seat ?

I use a old sheep skin car seat folded over. It seems to work well.

We just use a car rug, works fine.

as above, for a Monaro in Perth, I have found one , Black, Red leather, 6spd 2002, only mod is cat back, 62800km and the only thing is a small wear mark on the drivers seat about 2cm long(can this be repaired/rejuvinated), The guys asking $35000 but will drop $500, What does this sound like....Cheers Shaun

saw a guy in perth with a red cv8-r
he jumped in the back while the missus passed him the kid, looked a bit fiddly but a bit of practice and it wouldn't be too hard
sounds like a reasonable deal shaun
