hey all
I used to have a Red VX SS commodore Series 2 on a 3 year lease. once the lease is up which was a few weeks ago. it gets auctiond off. its a top car with less that 40'000 kms on the clock. id love to see if anyone has spotted it at an auction. its in perfect nick with all perfect rims and no paint blemishes. its also got a tow bar. numberplates are YDA-356.

below is a pic

id love to see what it sells for

we declined the option of purchasing it at the end of the lease so the residual was not told to us

Angelo just curious, which suttons are you at?

Also curiosity, just say for instance you knew the lease was up and had the option to buy, You decline as the driver, but are you able to purchase for a well known friend (such as myself)?

I was hoping to do a similar deal with mums work as they have just about every model luxury Commodore you can think of from SV6 up (Calais, SS, Berlina), but it looks like thanks to petrol costs they'll be switching to Camrys in the new year and I'm starting to look around at other options because if I went that way I'd obviously want to buy a car thats been driven by someone such as yourself, with pride, and looked after. Although I'm not buying anytime soon I'm starting to do the research and ask questions to the people who can answer them!

telstra nominated Suttons Homebush as our main dealership. im not quite sure if that other idea would work, i spose if you knew the owner you could crack a deal there, otherwise once you decline the option to purchase it gets a once over and gets sent to the auctions. but thats your gold mine right there, govt auctions are perfect for what ur lookin for, not so much the old white wagons, but the cars that were lease cars from managers and execs who drove SS's and Xr8's and calais. im sure you will pick up a beauty if ya looked around. if your lucky to find my car then that would be cool too.
