very nice suits your car, i don't really like them on the later models, but looks much better on yours, matches in well.

Thanks alot for the kind words vt2vx. I actually think it looks better with the clubby front bar than the Monaro..

Looking to do this to my VT Clubby and the more pics I see, the more I like it.
All up, what did it set you back sleeky?

Well the bonnet with the padding, and flutes, and flute inserts are on special from all Holden dealers for $1300 (usually $1800 odd), then about $320 to paint the bonnet from memory.

Certainly worth it IMO.

Looks really nice Sleeky.

Definitely one of the mods on my to do list for my R8, though I was looking at an aftermarket steel one which was going to run me about $1600 fitted and painted I think.

Mind if I ask what type of intake you are running? I have an OTRCAI and have been advised that the monaro bonnet 'might' not fit in steel, and fibreglass was a definite no, though I didnt want that anyway.

Im just running the standard intake. I too have heard that there are dramas with running an OTRCAI with the Monaro bonnet, however ive also heard that its just a bit of modification to the radiator shroud needed to make it fit.

I a VXII R8 before I got the Coupe ... that bonnet looks bloody good on it  Well done.

I like the 285 badges too :D

I dunno about the 285 badges, they were the initiative of the panel beater as he had some extras floating around...i think it makes it look like a 'mock-up' to be honest :/

Agree with you on both counts, the bonnet looks
awesome, definitely suits the R8 front better than
the monaro. And lose the 285 badges, people
might start thinking it is a V6 Clubby lookalike :)

I am not a fan of the scooped hood but it looks pretty hot on that front end!

That looks great, really beefs it up ( like a clubby needed beefing!) . Has anyone seen one on a VX SS?? I think i seen one on a white one and thought it looked wrong but mine is black and i think it might look good but you dont know how these things will look till they are on. Not taking a $2k gamble. Anyone seen a black or dark blue ss??
