Can anyone tell me which drive shaft is more prone to breaking. The left , or the right?

I've only heard of left hand side breakages.

I've wondered this too. I used to drag my RX7 a fair bit and when it had the standard open diff, used to break left hand axels. Seemed to be the right wheel would spin first and the left would snap. Fitted a standard mazda LSD and it snapped the right hand axel. Then with the locked diff it didn't break any axels but spit the diff housing open. Gave up after running it down the strip after that:) Funny enough though, it was the only car out there running in the 12's with an open diff at the time.
