Hi all,
after recently deciding to rebuild my Hq ute, (diff, then trans, then engine - it's easier in steps) I have choosen to go back to a manual trans.

To ease the pain of the auto to manual conversion cost, I thought I might try and sell my recently reconditioned Turbo 700 transmission, that has done sweet FA miles behind the chevy in my HQ. Mainly highway kms to.
The box was built earlier in the year, But I have had the ute off the road for nearly 3 months, when I decided to rebuild the motor.

I'm not sure what it's worth, so give me an offer for the following:
Recently $3000 reco Turbo 700 (recoed by RVO after consultation on LS1 forum) with receipts and remainder of 2 yr warranty (approx 15 mths left from memory)

Will include everything to swap out into a HQ ute except the cross member, and possibly the tail shaft.
Sale Includes:
recently reco T700.
B&M 4spd Mega shifter and console.
2800 rpm TCI torque convertor
TV (kickdown) cable for gas research twn throttle bodies,
speedo cable if req'd.
your choice of an externally balanced flywheel or a nearly new (less then 2000km's)TCI internally balanced flywheel (I have both due to recent engine rebuild).
possibly the tailshaft - depends on donor differential used etc. etc.

Receipts for over $3000 in 2005 alone plus remaining warranty (was 2 yrs earlier this year.)
with 16inch 245's, and a 3.5 inch diff ratio it cruises around 2100 rpm on the highway 100 km/h. (I cannot drive a car revving at 3000rpm down the road, it seems cruel.)

Potential buyers: Using a normal T350 cross member, weld about a one inch section onto it to suit the T700.Propshaft modification to suit your differential may be required.

If you are interested it is a pretty easy swap, but it is critical that you adjust the TV (kickdown cable)correctly.

As a guide I was hoping for $1600-$2000 - remmeber I spent $3000 early this year on the box alone, then there is the TCI convertor, plus the B&M Megashifter, cables etc. etc. without checking I'd be surprised if it has done more then 3000 km's. can check on request.
ring around and get new prices if you are interested....

Hope your projects for 2006 work out well
if interested, Email me on juliant@tpg.com.au
Thanks
Julian

Do you have a pic of the gas research tb's hooked up with the kickdown cable and the bracket that was made up cause im looking at doing a similar setup soon and a picture of the bracket and mounted for the twin tb's would be great help.
Thanks
