Can anyone recommend a good debt collector in Sydney? A forum member owes me a conciderable amount of money and im sick of the excuses of why it isnt paid. Its already many months overdue and concidering i did this person a favour by lending it to him, its pretty bad form for him to have dragged it out this long.

Edit: we dont need to mention names at this point.....

Surely the Yellowpages would have been a better bet than posting on here Stew? .... or just calling your own solicitor and seeing who he/she recommends. Posting it up here is just asking for an argument online from that forum member (and yes, I know who you mean) and the rest of us need not be involved.

Bugger it.. why should Stu have to be Mr Nice guy.. again.

If I was a potential client of a sponsor I would certainly want to know about their bussiness practices.. or is this going to be a caes of Mr X pays his sponsor fees therefore he is immune from anything negative?

If someone had done this to me I certainly would not have been as flexible a Voodoo.

Th person in question has made excuse after excuse.. have the balls to call it as it is.. you either don't have the money or you don't want to hand it over.
Period.

I don't see how you come to that conclusion - we have shown no favoritism to that individual in the past .... it is an issue of legalities. The deal was done between 2 individuals with no involvement of this forum. Using this forum to make the issue public makes the forum "legally" involved. We don't want anything to do with it.

PAgey, UT: While i appreciate the support i dont want this person named or any retribution done in my name. All this thread is for is to see if anyone has used a debt collector in Sydney with success. The forum has no part in this issue and i'd prefer it to stay that way. I could use the yellowpages as suggested but i dont know who is good/bad and all the ad tells me is who paid the most for their ad.

All i want is my money, nothing more and nothing less. Once its paid in full im happy and no mention of this will ever take place again. It has unfortunately, proven to me to never lend money to ppl regardless of their status, reputaion or apparent trustworthiness. That means nothing it seems.

Do it the legal way, and wind the company up ASAP as they are obviously insolvent, or will have to prove that they are not to continue trading. If that doesnt work then...........good luck :)

If you have details on good collection companies please PM me. I didnt want this thread to turn into a witch hunt or cast any reflection on any company's success or condition. While i know some ppl are offering support it can also be seen in a negative light which wasnt my intention at all. I Just want my money, i have no issues with the company/person in any way other than wanting my $$.

Can the mods please close this before it gets worse :(
