Weird Computer???

Anyone had this problem?
My dash warnings are doing strange things. This happened early in the cars life but went away after resetting the computer. Every now and again the dash tells me to service engine oil. Check of oil reveals no loss. The other warning is the service car asap warning. Again this only happens every now and again.
These warnings happened before the edit so that can't be the problem - any ideas?

Your instruments have a programming issue - there is a quick fix that a friendly Holden dealer foreman can do in the driveway, but its only a temporary one which may make the warning come back again and the instruments really have to be reconfigured to the ECM with Tech 2.

You'll have to book it in for the latter - can take up to 20mins to do.

First time I've heard anyone mention it in relation to an ls1 though. Maybe it it something to do with the new software for the electronic throttle in the vz's.

Nothing to worry about, easily fixed as German Statesman outlined.
