I've seen a new red GTO driving around our neighbourhood recently, which interested me, as I've ordered one.
Saw the car parked outside a coffee shop the other day, so went in to see if I could locate the owner. On the way in, as I walked past the car, I noticed that it was fitted with the AP 6 spot brakes I've ordered, & that the rear quad pipes were larger than standard.
Located the owner, & had a good chat with him,-- he actually only lives around the corner.
Anyway, he soon mentioned that his car was supercharged, courtesy of Peter Starr. I think he said it had a cam as well, & has been initially dyno'd at 360rwk, but when more advanced programming is available, he would be looking for 400 rwk!
Apparently, the owner was on the road recently when he came up against a Lamborghini. So when the lights went green, he was off. At the next set of lights the Lambo owner's pulled up alongside, wound his window down, & said, "mate, I couldn't catch you!"
Cheers, Pickles.

I've been very interested about getting more info about a Starr Supercharger. It's been hard to get info but I've heard we may be able to get them here in the States within a few months.
How about drivability and reliability issues.

With a stock Lambo Gallardo running 13.4 down the quarter that result would be expected :)

Guess what Tone Ive got a mate with an F360 Spyder, complete with Tubi exhaust. It ran a 13.4......and YEP the MAF Mauler is quicker than it. Till you come to a corner, have to stop or something like that

Yeah, you don't see many Fezzas on the drifting scene now do we. :D
But I would never say no to a Murcielago, no matter how fast or slow they are in comparison.
I remember years ago, a friend just bought a new MR2. I still had the old bomb of an EA and I asked him "Mate, if you're doing 60 and I'm doing 60, who's going faster?". His response: "Who cares, I look better". Touche.
Our cars can theoretically be quicker than Senor Lambo, but they'll turn many more heads. Although a Munro/GTO does a fine job of head turning itself.

Well just cause Motor mag can get it down the 1/4 in 13.4 seconds doesnt mean its a 13.4 second car... I think u should go here and have a look http://www.lambocars.com/gal/galls.htm
And look at the actual 1/4 mile time... only a little faster :)

Pretty sure his experience is based on numerous journeys from INSIDE the car, rather than reading about it.

Pickles:
The Starr supercharger appears to be similar in kind to the Magnuson intercooled supercharger that I am running on my LS6. It was tuned for hot weather and draws cooler air from outside the engine compartment. It provides massive torque at low RPMs. Fuel economy is normal when you don't have your foot into it.
