Hey guys. Uno the ol' Xu6 HSV bought out in the VT model i think  yer anyhow i remember reading ages ago that when it come out it had some pretty wild traction problems or lack of it. I know it was only a 180kw which is by no means a lot of power to give it traction problems. i was just wondering if any of you guys read anything on it?... or was it jus my imagination lol:D

if it was anything like my old VT supercharger, it would have traction problems due to the lack of traction control and very chirpy engine response!

As the ex owner of a VT HSV XU6 which I purchased new in March 1999 I can definately tell you first hand that they did not have tracton problems.
They did however get up and go pretty well for a 6 cyl.
They were officially rated at 180 KW but anyone who bought one at the time knew they had more than that and so did the boys at HSV. They just didnt want to advertise it !!

Yella Terra sells a kit to spin the supercharger harder . . . if you're looking for traction problems. :burnout:

what could be more fun than a s/c without traction?

Why would HSV not advertise more power if it where true. Would that not make the car more appealing. Mabey the dealer was pulling your leg :stick:
