Can someone let me know what the reset procedure is for the glitch in the LED display on the dash of the VZ. After the 10000k service a warning came on to check engine oil. The VY books had the info from what I can remember.....so any VY owners pls help. GMH have mentioned that a patch will be coming out at the end of this month.

The check engine oil light on my car meant it had no Oil Pressure.
I'd be getting your dealer to check for that first.

GOOD POINT
Sorry i mis-read it and thought he said service engine oil.
If it says check engine oil you better check the dipstick b4 you drive anywhere and get it checked out if its not a oil level problem

sorry to bring up old thread but I've had a similar problem.
"check oil"
I'd just like to know what oil this could be referring to?
I've already topped up engine oil...
i did put a tranny cooler in the other day but i topped it up.
Thanks

does it disappear when you raise the idle to say 1000rpm?
if it does it means your oil pump is shagged or oil is to thin and setting off the low oil pressure parameters which stock is like 12 or 15psi.
auto's tend to be more prone to it as they idle at 550rpm.

Yes - thanks! I think it is the oil, i recently put HPR5 in and that is a thinner oil.
do you recommend changing oil?
