More offers from Sponsors (their doesnt seem to be many "forum specials" these days)

Inside gossip, definately. Doesnt have to be just Holden stuff. Any inside info from car manufacturers is interesting.

We need a spell checker for the mods too... leik now :)

why not...? they would get a chance to show some of their product
and besides
not all the 'how to's' need be for Sponsor's products
(and I don't mean to demean our sponsors..they are great)
so
ummm.....
why not a 'how to' on fitting a Monaro airbox?
or
fitting a different headunit
or
fitting a different console skin
or even changing h/lamp globes
etc etc

we are not all A Graders here...just enthusiasts
with a passion for our wheels:thumbsup:

How about some prices from our sponsors on some of the main items everyone uses....like cat back, headers, edit maf or mafless, clutches, Brakes and all up costs including fitting. For one I am for ever ringing different sponsors for prices.

why not...?

Well, I don't think they would want to show you how to do things, as this would be detrimental to business.

I hope I'm wrong, I'd love to see some of that here.

More Nudity ( no not you tone put you clothes back on) .

Sorry wrong Forum.

I would like to see a forum ( in the tech section ) on Part numbers where part numbers could be asked for. Then answers could be kept in the part numbers thread for quick refrence. This would keep the part numbers thread clean and easy to refer to but still give people place to request numbers.
I know heaps of part numbers I just need to know what ones you want.

Also some sponsor LS1.com.au member only specails.

An ask Dickie Knee section?
I can probably create a stuck thread where people can ask for part numbers, you could post the answer in the parts thread section? Then I wouldn't have to merge the threads all the time.

That's what I am getting at.

why not a 'how to' on fitting a Monaro airbox?

and to expand on that idea,,, adding the part numbers and holden pricing to the thread to ensure people don't pay over the top pricing for the same parts on ebay..... for example, $80 is what the MCAI is going for on ebay atm... seems a touch expensive considering holden retail the parts around 25-30

Can we have a gaming section :flame:  or maybe a computer tech section coz I swear my last 600 or so PMs have been PC related :) not that I mind people - keep em rolling in.

Agreed, this certainly needs a sticky. The number of threads re: mcai, 2 hole mod that seem to keep re-appearing, would seem to indicate a need is present for some info, esp. for newbies, which we've all been at some stage.

Ok well a couple of things,

Holden have been quiet of late because there's a new model commodore coming out soon so I'd wager they are a little busy :D Everyone remember to cary your digital cameras with you on the off chance you see one and can snap a pic of it like with the VY :D

As for a How To .. well it's a tricky one and it is up to you users to create these. I'll look at the structure and the idea of a How To section is a good one, it would be read only and any useful How To's posted up in the tech sections could be moved into there. There is a liability and duty of care issue around this kind of thing tho :(

The Feature Cars are still going ahead, contact HRT Stroker about that as he was handling them. I know we had a few people pull out of having their car featured tho :(

Sponsor Spotlights are also still gong ahead when I can arrange for one of the volunteer writers to go do the articles on the Sponsors. It does take some time and effort so that has slowed things a little.

Sponsor Specials, well that is up to the sponsors themselves and I am sure they already give good prices to their forum regulars. Have a chat to your local sponsor about it and maybe they will be prompted to put up specials.

:D

Specials from our Sponsor's. It's always good to get a saving. What we save on one item will be spent on the next. It's a win win situation.:)

Yep this is definately warranted.

An improved *Time Slip* Database.......mind you imo there was nought wrong with the old but for the glaring lack of detail and slips by many who posted there-in.......just my view :1peek:

Mark,
The old timeslip database is gone along with the data. Unfortunatley it was incompatable with the new software and I figured this was as good a time as any to have a fresh start. Rest assured the feature will be back once the adon has been completed and will most likley have some more features :D It's the only part of the old site I couldn't migrate which is a shame but it's not forgotten about :eyes:
