G'day,

Yeah it's a great bike but since I got the Clubbie I barely get to ride it

Used to have an older Fireblade and an R1 and this is way in front!

In fact I am thinking of selling it to finance mods for the Clubbie hahaha:evil:

Anyway back to the thread :p

Congrats mate,

You are doing better than me. I got everything but for some reason no matter how much haggling I do I still can't get a HSV jacket!!

Might look to Ebay :p

I bet!!! He threw in for me this that and the other including HSV number plate covers which I didn't want but no jacket :bawl:

Still I can't complain because the service (both before and after sale) has been exceptional from them to say the least.

I could have got a jacket but didnt go to my size XXXXXL.
Note to self, loose some weight and gain jacket and better 1/4 mile times.
But when your 6 foot 7 and 175kg must clothes in the HSV range dont fit.
Maybe i need to start a petition to get HSV to make bigger sizes.:stick:

All this talk about Clubsports for $49990 on the road, thats a ripper deal, to be sure.
But what about the base Maloo? it has a much cheaper RRP by about $8k??, so even considering the utes may be a bit easier to shift and not as heavily discounted one would assume mid fourties drive away would be about right. Or is the logic I'm applying too simplistic?

looks like a good time to upgade the ute for those prices

Just to clarify guys, is that $49k for a VZ Clubsport or a Clubsport R8? The original poster claimed the retail price was $72,900 which is R8 territory isn't it?. If it's an R8 that's an amazing price. Got to feel for anyone that has payed retail:argue:

12 inch man, Sorry for the confusion but I didn't actually say that Maloos could be driven away for mid forties, I don't know for sure what they can be driven away for. Was just assuming that because the Maloo RRP is a lot less than the sedan then mid fourties would be about right for a Maloo.

But then again, if the dealers are selling Maloo utes easily for low fifties then my logic will be miles off the mark. It all comes down to supply vs demand, just like any other item for sale.

05 R8 $56,836
05 SV8 $ 34990 :driving: away...those with GM mastercard rebate will fare better......as will those who can wait for the new model release.....imho

Maybe so,but what about the cost of insurance for a clubbie compared to an SS.Also the theft factor, insurance companies dis-like them 'cause the're such a target,or I should say,a higher value target for car stealing rackets compared to an SS.
Not having ago, just other food for thought.
