That first one is insane.

The speedo is definately in MPH as you can see the inside ring is in KM/h.

Just after he changes into 6th the Needle on the speedo hits the stop at 220Mph (352Km/h) at that point the rev counter reads about 10200. He keeps accelerating until the Rev counter says about 11100 before he buttons off.

He must go close to 400Km/h.
Does anybody know the 0-100,0-200,0-300 and 1/4 mile times for that thing?

everytime I see something like this it sends a chill down my spine.

Must feel some awesome G forces on it, but geez not much padding there if something goes wrong

Here's a link, scroll down through the stats/performance, this is for the Hayabusa (first bike):

http://www.hyp4r.com/hayabusa/performance.htm

0-100in 3 secs, standing 400m in about 10secs at 235kph...and just think the ZX10R in the second clip makes 180hp with the ram-air affect and weighs 175 kilos dry...

Food for thought...

Surely those bikes in the vids arent stock...

Satansfist

Absolutely stock, at least the ZX10R is, the thing to remember these things are making 160 to 170BHP at the rear wheel (same as some family sedans I guess) but they weigh bugger all, around 230 kilos for the Hayabusa and maybe 195 fuelled up for the ZX10. All the 1000cc sport bikes these days are pushing if not actually making 1bhp per kilo.

You may be able to tell I've been into bikes longer than cars :p ...but I'm making up ground...:demon:

I could do that ... I just don't wanna :stick:

 Seriously though, he didn't get front wheel down till he was over 200 km/h ... that acceleration is just plain scary.

Are we sure this is real? When doing 350km/h you're doing near as dammit to 100 metres per second. That means the driveways in the first video must be over 50 metres wide!

Maybe I'm just a cynic.

I see what you mean. While the side roads in the clips look like side roads rather then driveways. Hence there wider, i just dont see the speed you would expect compared to the speed we do on the road or track?? also at the start when he does the u turn, it looks noware near like he his doing 30mph when he completes the u-turn. Could be just me though, but the heading does read "bad speedo"

Bad as in naughty:yup:, you're right though, if it's a standard bike then the likelihood of 350 is slim, there are notorious errors or shall we say optimism in bike speedos, so while the 'Busa may read 210 or 220mph in reality they have been clocked at 200mph. And like someone else says if you watch one of the Ghostrider DVD's he's got a turbocharged 'Busa that is filmed passing a GSXR1000 doing 290kmh, on the back wheel, like it's standing still.

As for the ZX10R, what you see is what you get, even if it isn't 300kmph can you deny the thing is going scarily fast? It'd still be 270-odd. Those little cameras (pen-cams) don't give a proper representation of the action, same as these vids on the net don't give a good reproduction of the sound of a V8!:D

Gotta love a quick blast up the autostrada!

The motorcycle riders here will know that this is the oldest trick in the book: changing gear ratios and then filming yourself doing 350km/h etc. A 'Bus' can do just over 300km/h standard. Similarly the ZX12R.

The speedo on the ZX-10R (second vid) looks about right, going by experience he would have taken off in 2nd and got as high as 5th looking at the revs versus speed. ;)

My 10R will roughly do 155kmh in first at 13,000rpm, in 6th will sit on just over 4,500rpm at 100kmh, do the maths it will fall just short of 290kmh

The bike makes about 160HP at the wheel with no ram air, add about another 8HP over 200kmh with some decent air pressure, all this pushing 195kg's with a full tank of juice :yup:

That equates to 383km/h at 11,100rpm. All of a sudden the Veyron sounds like a funpark ride.

Having been a Busa nut.

The bike in the first video belongs to a character called Superkaos. It has about 450 rwp on a dynojet so only a piddling 380ish in our DD terms, and a boost controller which ramps up the boost on each gearchange. Its far from stock

cheers

gota love the add on the side of the first video for motorbike insurance LoL
seriously though thats just pure insane a tiny imperfection on the road at that speed could do some interesting damage!!
but i have seen a turbo bike pull from bout 80-160 while in the air in a matter of seconds!! (not sure if it was mph or kph)

is that the one where they pulled it to bits to clean all the guts splatter off it , then put it back together & used it as a centre piece at car shows???

I was thinking the same my self...the first video doesn't appear to be travelling at the appropriate speed when passing everything....

there was one a few years back...app. doing 240 kl/h it looked more like 130 kl/h

the sec video impressed me though...He must of impressed himself enough at 299 kl/h

Ive got all four ghost rider dvds and there just insane. the continus speed he keeps up is frightening. regards possible speeds on those bike there is allways some speedo error but all the new 1000cc and + bikes are capable of doing 300kph+. ive got vids of my mate (modded gsxr1000) Pulling the bike up on its back wheel at over 200kph while beside me when i was driving an ss ute. Thats when i discovered the ss auto ute was speed limited to 210kph and i couldnt keep chaseing him. His bike has been proven on a dyno to a true speed of 316kph.
