Where are VT headlights earthed to? Is there a bolt/screw/terminal etc in the engine bay? I have a problem with earthing (stray current lights up pencil beams dimly when on low beam; one light goes out completely when I hit the high beam) but I can't see where the harness/wire earths to. Any help appreciated

The commodore headlight wiring system is rather stupid as it uses the earth as the switch meaning there will be one + wire and posibly 3 - wires. in either case you will find they run back through the loom and eventualy earth back just below the relay box in the engine bay. Best bet is to check connector plugs and clean them in your case.

Earth mount is just in front of the Relay/ Fuse box in the Eng bay its in close to the top of the skirt. Its in line with the back top corner of the battery.
