wat 1st mods for a black VZ Monaro?

my bro in law just received delivery of a black curent model monaro, were wanting to do a few basic 1st mods such as bolt ons, what you guys suggest? for body interior motor etc...

atm he wants a set of chrome rims for it and i suggested the black HSV GTO/GTS tailights...

id just go with the mods on the engine, the monaro body looks hot as it is. any extra will give it a bit of a ricer quality.

but then again, to each their own.

The Best Performance Mod in my Mind to be doing First is a good Exhaust.. and for a Monaro id be getting a nice Set of Extractors and twin system exhaust.. Then I supose Better Intake and Edit.

As for Cosmetics you cant go Past just Plain Old Lowering.. Will give the car a Much meaner stance once its closer to the ground.. As for Rims maybe get a set of VZ GTO Wheels to Match the VZ Tail Lights he wants instead of the Chrome wheels..

OH and if its a V6 then just throw it in the Bin :evil: J/k

I do agree with the Black lights giving it a bit of a ricer quality.

I put the aftermarket Black GTO lights (the ones without any chrome) in my VT as well as the VX boot panel and I was pretty dissapointed. :eek:

Rice was definately the first thing that came to mind, but hey, my car is silver so maybe they'll look better in a Black CV8.

You could try putting the HSV style guard vents in.

hey there mate
first i would start with a good over the radiator cold air induction will give better throttle responce and more power that the stock one then i would do your exhaust new headers hi flow cats and a good cat back will give you a fair amount of power and if you want to go further get an edit done this will give you heaps more grunt and i would get a mafless tune done at the same time.
that should get ya started mate

Dunno about diff gears in a VZ Monaro. They are geared hell short already (like 3000km in 4th at 80km/h or something) - due to different overall ratios (in the box) to earlier models and VZ SS/SV8

The VZ already has a big MAF and better intake... I'm not saying improvements can't be made, but maybe just an Edit will be enough once he gets sick of the grunt he already has
