Guys i bought some vz ss headlights and bumper bar and i want to put them on my vy ss.. Are the vy headlight connections the same as the vz headlights or will i have to take it to an auto electrician? Also do the fog lights off a vy ss fit the vz ss front bumper? Thanks

Im changing thew whole front end to a vz ss front end so that includes bumper bar bonnet and headlights. I just wanna know if the connections for the vy headlights will match up to those of the vz ss headlights?

You obviously have the VY, and you say you have the VZ lights? so why dont you go out to your car and see if they have the same plugs?

dont know why you would want to do that - Personally think the VZ front end looks so harsh compared to the VY. - but each to there own! Good luck.

Aren't the guards on the VZ different due to the sides of the headlight being steeper than on VY's?

What you will also find is that the projector style lights draw far more current than the standard lights and therefore the wiring is different in a VZSS to handle the extra load. I'd speak to an auto elec or you might end up cooking something. We had a customer wanting to do this on his SV6( Fit the SS lights ) and it was a major task to do so.

Will be interesting to see how you go with this!
the VZ lights will fit straight in and there is no problem with the wiring plug I have fitted a VY maloo front to my VU and used the VZ gaurds as well, they all seem to be interchangable you will have to do a mod on the wiring for the headlight in the steering colum so that the projector lights stays on all the time as they do not have a high beam, do a search you just remove a wire to prevent the high beam form opperating. If you have a problem let me know and I will remove the plastic cover on the steering colum take some photos and email them to you
cheers Allan
Theyll all fit fine mate dont know what some of these guys are smokin. The headlights are different where they meet the centre grille, The gaurds are identical apart from the vent of course the wiring is fine apart from the high beam as ajs said it'll look good and its a cheap way of keeping the current shape without losing on buying a new car, Good luck>
P.S. I'll try and email some pics for you again
