Intake tube

G'day everyone!


I am looking forward to buy k&n air intake kit that belongs to pontiac GTO,My car is a VZ SS.

The problem is that 04 GTO intake kit doesn't fit on my car because of 2 things:

1- IAT location is on the tube while the VZ SS has it bulit in the MAF that leaves a hole in the intake kit tube!

2- PCV hose is in the left side of the intake in my car, 04 GTO doesn't have it so we end to 2 holes!

anyways, My question is ..do the VZ tubes for LS1 and LS2 have the same throttle dimeter ? same maf dimeter?


I just wanted to know this question's answer if any one can help,please!

Because I'm thinking of buying 05 GTO intake kit instead.

For 1) just fill the hole or put another IAT sensor in and just leave it unconnected. Last time I bought an IAT they were cheap.

I thought the throttle body sizes were different between the LS1 and LS2.

But even if I but IAT sensor in the first hole I have the PCV valve hose has nowhere to go in!


I know the sizes of both engines' throttles!

But I see my throttle body has the outter frame bigger than by previous ls1 may be I'm wrong.


But 1.2 Cm difference can I do something to it ?silicone tube will work with LS2 tube?

As the replies you've seen state, LS2 (05 GTO) is quite different to LS1 (04 GTO) & the MAF & TB are different to both, plus there is the PCV that hooks onto the pipe on an 05.

You should really get the 05 GTO kit if you want to get anything.

My worry is the difference in the tube dimeter can you make it straight for me? can I put 05 GTO kit on my VZ LS1?

The 05 kit will fit , it is made to fit the vz 85mm maf with iat built into maf

but it's designed for LS2 not LS1 in the end :nyuk:

I think I'll risk the thing and buy it!
