Yank3500 convertor
BFG drag radials+Pedders drag springs (these things are the best! )
75hp dry shot of nitrous.
everything else stock down to the paper air filter.

there were 4 classes
1.stock LS1
2.stock LS2
3. bolt on class, basically everything from a CAI to heads,cam,headers etc
4. Supercharger,Turbo,Nitrous,Stroker class.

air and temp was not the best for good power
the DA was around 2800 and temps were 89-91deg ,
Gotta love Florida in winter.
Track prep was excellent so there where a lot of
great 60ft times but the bad air and heat was slowing
the cars down on the top end.

I "think" (my memory isnt very good)class 1s best was around 12.9s same for class 2,
low 12s for class 3 and low 11s for class 4. The fastest cars for class 4 broke or
dropped out for one reason or another .
The BMR car made a 10sec pass but they werent competing and there was an
older 60s GTO that made a 7sec/198mph pass.

for such a new car here I myself am amazed how many of these cars were bought by enthusiasts both of Holden and Pontiac instead of just a car to drive by a "normal" person.

Believe it or not it was all arranged by one person! JoeyD from the www.ls1gto.com forum . :bravo: :bravo:
It was two days with a car show on saturday at Hooters with music and lots of hot women :) and the race track on sunday where the same Hooters girls came and gave us free lunch and later took pictures with alll the winners.There where also free prizes given out from most of the GTO vendors.
We had some cars come from as far as 1600km to attend.
I was there the whoel time and still didnt get to see all the cars and meet all the people.
Considering this was the first year I can only imagine how big it will get in a year or two. JoeyD also took a ton of pictures and videos which are being edited right now. Ill let you guys know when it is done.

I didnt even realize they looked close until one day i was going thru jhp wheels and saw those! Whats nice is as far as I know I am the only one with these wheels. I ordered some Holden centercaps which I think I can fit in the center because they measure the same size as the MM centercaps.

When I was at the SSHS race (sponsored by the Impala SS club) meet earlier this year a member from Holland had his SS shipped over just for the meet!
Now thats dedication! Not to mention expensive.. :D

It still wierds me out seeing so many Monaros (sorry, GTOs) with VY SS wheels

Don't mind the side vents on that Blue GTO with the paintjob. Maybe holden or HSV should have gone similar to that as thay actually look like they're useful

Also it amazes me that with so many GTOs there aren't more CV8Z-style black vents (I saw 1) or other Holden/HSV style mods

as far as actual HSV or CV8 mods/parts the shipping kills us. Unless its very small parts the shipping usually costs as much as the parts. If it didnt we would be buying a lot of parts from Australia.
I really want to get a Holden or HSV front bar,, been dealing with every shipper over here and so far I have been quoted from $600-1000US just for the shipping not including customs.
There are a few that have CV8 front bars they bought from JHP on a group buy so it was a little better since they were all shipped together and divided up here.
I have tried to talk a few of the sponsors in just filling an entire container with parts and bringing it over but so far none have expressed any intrest. :(
