Quick Question - What is the LS8?

I was driving the clubby yesterday when I came along side a very sweet black luxobarge on Milperra road, whilst i was checking it out i noticed an LS8 badge.

My question is what are the specs on a LS8 and what is the go with the release, are they in all luxobarges or was/is it a special run?

On digital Corvetts forum, they have a leaked document of an LS8 replacing the LS7 in 2009 it has 500 plus horse power, so maybe those badges would be worth something in the future.

A couple of us have LS8s on this forum (there's a link on my sig to my car's CarDomain page with a fair bit of info)

The WH Statesman International LS8 was the last of three releases of Internationals.
WH Series one was 250 cars, WH series two was 500 cars and the LS8 was 350 cars.

All were powered by the GENIII LS1 V8 so don't get too excited.
