so it has been over 1 month and i still have not received the little gifts you get when you purchase a car.

i chose the small cabin bag, plus you also get some other stuff. the delaer said they will send in the forms to HSV, but i have not gotten anything yet.

called the HSV customer service desk ( or should i say non-serice desk) and they put me through to someone voice mail ??? anyone know the best way to chase this up. i forked over my hard earned, so i want something in return ( apart from a nice car)

Go back and speak to the salesman you got the car off

G'day,

I got my first gift pack within 2 weeks of delivery of my Clubbie but the 2nd gift pack ( the cap, tyre pressure guage, pen etc etc) took over a month. I rang the dealer and they chased it up for me. Apparently HSV forgot to send it out !

Anyway as Ryzz said, just ring the dealer and get them to chase it up. When I did it was at my door 2 days later.

Cheers,

Alex

Mate that is really poor service.

The Customer Care person at the Dealership took care of it for me no dramas at all along with follow up calls.

I received the Roadside Assist card about 3 weeks after getting the car.

If i ran the marketing dept at HSV i would have the car delivered with all the 'goodies' waiting in the boot or similar. It is such poor marketing and customer relations where people have to follow up on this stuff.

I cannot understand why companies like HSV let themselves down time and time again by failing to do the simplest things to ensure the customer gets the best possibile experience from purchasing and driving a HSV.

Having just signed the paperwork for a new HSV literally 48 hours ago i could not understand that in the past weeks while test driving etc i could not get a picture of a 2006 model HSV. Their website , 4 weeks after the specs were released, still does not have the latest model with the VY GTS wheels , black inserts , mesh changes etc.

In fact if i was HSV i would have a video of the cars at each dealership that people could watch in a viewing area that outlines the specs , interior , performance etc. Now that would be an 'experience' ! Get someone like Skaifey to do the intro for the video.

Again if i was HSV marketing manager i would ensure all this stuff like websites etc are up to date.

It is all about the 'experience' of buying one of these cars.

Righto HSV.....where do i send my resume ?!! (where is that smiley button)

In excess of three months every time for me, that's over three new cars with two different dealers. Absolutely disgraceful, but quite typical talking to other purchasers over here.

HSV if you're reading:

1. Supply the stuff with the car or in a timely manner, it really leaves a bad taste being offered "presents" then having to ring the dealer back to chase it up. Makes you feel real cheap.

2. Or, forget the whole idea and give us $1k of the price. After three cars, who wants another aluminium briefcase or another cap, or another carry on bag, etc...???

Rant off.

Never got it. I think the salesperson pocketed the goods for themselves. Happened to my sister as well.

There website for starters is shithouse. The worst designed website I have ever seen. Take a leaf from FPV's, I mean your selling a premium product, you would expect premium service and facilities to show you every aspect of the car before you buy it.

I don’t think they fully comprehend how much a website can really help sell a car. A few grand on a decent webmaster and a proper layout, would pay dividends.

Also the website’s of both Holden and especially HSV are always late to be updated. Look at HRT’s. It must all be the same webmaster. He should be fired.

Are you reading this HSV and Holden!!!

This is the year 2006. Don’t leave it for VE if you want to sell older models now!! Don’t use that stupid idiot on the Holden ads and get a good webmaster to create a new site from the ground up.

Are you meant to receive a "gift" with every HSV purchase ? My old man picked up a new Z clubby last week with no mention of any gifts, if the salesman has pocketed them i wont be happy as we are still waiting on 2 jackets that were promised in the deal. Its amazing how salesmen dont want to know you after you've signed a deal.

when i purchased my ute back in late 2002, when i went to pick it up. the salesman (great guy) took me to the service area where they sell all the shirts, jackets etc and said "do u want a brock shirt?" thinking i was getting conned into buying a shirt i said. "nah, don't like him. besides havent i baught enough from you?"

He goes, "nah mate, it's FREE"

so yeah i got a free shirt in the end.

They call it "owner's own" or something like that. Go to the HSV web site, click on "Life" click through the pages 4-5 times and you come to the page explaining.

Basically, you should get a cap that says "HSV I just got one" (being a play on their "I just want one" slogan) tyre pressure gauge and other such crap with the car.

The dealer should give you an order form to complete for the owner's pwn thing, which gives you 4-5 choices for a gift depending on the car you have ordered. HSV golf bag, aircraft carry on bag (this is handy), leather set in an aluminium briefcase, etc..... Alternatively, look in the compendium folder, there usually is a copy of the form in that (you did get the owners compendium right?)

Note the car must be new.

You're not missing much, but on the other hand, you have paid for it!!!! (my point above)

Cheers,

Gordie
