Yeah they do, I have heard of and seen Monaros that have water built up inside the door and you can hear it swishing around when you drive.

I had this problem with mine - apparently they forgot to put in a plug somewhere underneath the car (behind the drivers seat).
I got it fixed under warranty but it's quite dissapointing that something like this should occur.

Blocked drain plug in the (lower) rear quarter seal. Usually fixed by removing the side skirt & unblocking/enlarging the drain outlet. Was a problem in the earlier Monaro's (now fixed I hope ????)

That really isn't good enough. I am glad it doesn't happen to mine.

Well, I've had it twice. Series 1, 2002 CV8.
First time, just noticed 2 inches of water in rear footwell. Warranty repair included new carpets, mats, and 3 days without car.
2 weeks later, next time it rained while driving, happened again. 2nd new interior, warranty again, and head scratching at holden.
The first time I was given a 'yep. yep, machine on the prouction line was welidng blanks' or something similar, and the second time, they said the drainholes were blocked.
All within a month.....:soap:

Was there any obvious/visible damage to the carpets? I might look at getting mine replaced.

No problems like that with mine.... so far. I thought it was a problem isolated to Series I (01-02') models but obviously not. :(
Here are some other threads on the same issue:

Not really any visable damage, just a musky smell. I think it had been wet a few times before I noticed the actuial water., Whenever it seemed to rain, I would get out of the car and run for shelter, not check behind the seats for water! It took a friend getting into the back (rare) to spot the wet carpet.

My GTO gets a lot of water inside the doors whenever I wash it. I just take the shop vac and run it over where the water drains in the bottom of the door. No more water - til next wash.
