Looks like over the years people have had mixed results with the service department at Suttons Rosebery.

The last reference I've found is dated Apr 2005:

I'm currently booked for 10,000k's with the red team next week. I wasn't particulary thrilled with the way the 3000k inspection was handled but the location is handy on the way to work so I'm willing to see if it gets any better this time.

Gripes with the 3000K inspection were:

- don't wash the car; car comes back washed
- handbrake noisy at low speed; anti scuff kit fitted, handbrake still noisy

Anyone have more recent experiences with the service department they can comment on, both good and bad?

cheers

Try United Rockdale. Service there is A1. Went to Suttons Rosebery a couple of times & wasn't too impressed with their customer service at all.

The problem with Suttons Rosebery is size. They are just too big and basically unable to give any personalised attention. Try somewhere else smaller. If you want something close to the city, I have had better results with the Rushcutters Bay mob. You can get their shuttle bus into the city, or just walk (15 mins). Or a Lautray suggests try Rockdale.

Try the mobile unit from Hunter Holden at Ryde. ( 0419400454 )

Used them for about 3 years with no problems.

Will go any where in Sydney.

Good for the standard servicing and minor warranty work.

Last service they decided my 3.5" exhaust needed to be "re-torqued" and charged me for it. When I ask what does that involve and why charge me NO ONE could answer me.

If you value your car, take it elsewhere.

..........as for them washing your car....take it elsewhere as well.
They scratched mine and are to this day refusing to repair it!!

ive had problems trying to get mobile holden service (I wont name who), seemed when I asked them to come to work where they can even have a bay, hoist and air lines to do the service directly in front of my office they sorta backed out.

They came out once for another one of my cars and looked very uncomfortable as our workshop controller watched on from his desk, Ive never seen a mechanic look so flustered, and they didnt really want to come back out ever again.

Anyway I cant say that ive been to Roseberry. Ive been to Waitara, very pleased with their service. That said I refuse to reccomend service departments to anyone though, so this isnt a reccomendation, I'm just saying I was pleased with their service, its the best we've ever had from any bloody Holden Center in NSW to date, they acctually cared, and its the only center the cars come back from with the fuel consumption reading how I left it. It went in at 11.2, came out 11.3 Ive put it in before at another (non suttons) center at 11.4 and it came out 14.6 - how do you get it that high in only a few hours? Seriously??

United Holden Rockdale is very good and a family friend use to be the Service Guy there, he has now gone to Suttons City at Rosebery.

I have always taken my car to Suttons in Rosebery and have never had a problem with the service or the work carried out to my car.

Yes they r a large workshop and they will get 120 - 150 cars per day.

I always recommend them to my mates and they all get there car service there and have never had a problem
