Im wondering how many of you(in the case you were the winning bidder) would mod it or keep it stock? If money weren't too much of an option.

if money was'nt a problem i would'nt be buying a monaro..thats for sure.:hide:

Did you guys notice that none of the unique parts have a warranty over them?

So - if the gearshift rattles like most of the MT's do - there is no replacement unit available!

Same goes for the seats, the instrumentation etc etc

Yere noticed that Zac but I dont think that would hurt as much as the luxury car sales tax being slapped on top of the final price regardless of whether it is being registered or not.... Ouch.

Probably bought by a dealer that will sit it in their showroom - should get a few thru the door and conversation starter - could pay for itself and the money went to a good cause to boot !!Either that or bowdens ??

The Very Last Monaro has been sold for a respectable 180-odd thousand dollars.

If / when the new Monaro comes out in a few years time, I wonder how much this (not so) Very Last Monaro will depreciate :)

It'll probably cost as much as a 1960/70 LE Monaro does now.

At least the money went to a good cause.

dude i understood the question and no i would'nt do any mods to it but i still would'nt pay $180 odd thousand for a monaro when you could buy something a little better. Thats just my opinion..anyway the money went to a great foundation and thats the main thing.;)

eBay cancelled my auction because I was "keyword spamming". And I was having so much fun with the questions.

Alas, no one bid the $67k for my beer float, but the pure driving pleasure of the Monaro will somehow keep me going :)

thats gold

You are NOT bidding on the last Holden Monaro ever made.

The Holden Design Team has not spent many wonderful hours massaging this Monaro into a lather of testorone fuelled excitement.

This car has never been at the Melbourne Motor Show, pedastalled like a model before that whole video tape thing. It has been admired down at the 7-11 though. OK, that might be exaggerating things a little. It wasn't the 7-11, it was the Night Owl.

Mike Simcoe refused to sign this Monaro, or any part of me as it turns out. That restraining order really makes things difficult Mike...

No, it hasn't been Data Dotted or anything like that. I do think however that there might be some chewing gum under the seat somewhere.

So what are you getting for your hard earned (well, I don't really know, you could have earned it really easily) money?

A 2005 Turismo Blue CV8 Auto with 10300 kilometres on the clock in good condition.

That's it. But you'll probably pay a couple of hundred grand less for this one than Holden's last one.

Don't forget the most important part - That all the proceeds will be invested in my beer fund. It's thirsty work but I think I'm up to the task.

Delivery will not be arranged to your closest Holden dealer so you better work out a way to get it to your place from Brisbane... No, I won't Air Mail it to you if you are overseas!

Good luck to Holden with their car. They sure are supporting a great cause. If you miss out on that one though you can sooth your sorrow with this beauty.

Plus it's an auto for those lazy buggers like me.

I think there will always be something special about having either THE FIRST or the LAST of something!

And generally, you would expect that those 2 would be highly valued in years to come....

We know that the very first V2 Monaro is (was) bought by Trevor Young from BIANTE and was displayed in his showroom. Im not sure if its still there...

And it sounds like the very last one will be looked after very well by its owner in Emerald, Qld. It is a real pity that it wont be on display for people to see -as the first one is....

In saying that, guess where the very first HSV GTO LE (with red/white stripes) is................

:hmmm:

:hmmm:

:hmmm:

:hmmm:

i saw it in a showroom in good ol' Adelaide! :D

Looks like that dealer mustve been doing something right with HSV Head Office!
