As posted on another forum, a few of us are going down to Wakefield for some fun & games on Monday 13th February.
Details:

Cost: $90 (+ $40 for annual Wakefield ClubComp licence valid for 12 months)

Where: Braidwood rd, Goulburn.

Time: Kick-off at 9 sharp, so aim to be there before then to allow time to set up car & do paperwork. There is no scrutineering... honesty system.

Hopefully see you there :) .

Looks like my giant gas plate for my Elizabeth Chong wok.

Looks like a silver medal from the Ukranian Womens Olympian Discus Foundation.

Looks like something from Area 51.

That thing just screams stealth.

I stand corrected ... they were so damn big I assumed they were the fronts.

They are rears, the little ones !!!

They sure do look purdy when they're new.

The best is yet to come, they work twice as good as they look.

Well done Nick, a move you'll never regret,

and you just made your car a shit load safer. :yup:

I'm am happy with my new DBA 4048's & 4049's, but now I see these Harrops...... only 2" smaller than my 17" rims!!

I reckon it's going to get interesting going down into turn one... 2,000kg Coupe4 with MASSIVE brakes vs 1750kg vx ss with enhanced PBR PK1 kit vs 1700kg(?) Monaro with enhanced "stock" brakes :stick:. Let the fun & games begin!

What are the prerequisites to attend tommorow (licences, helmet and extinguisher etc)?

Would like to run the SV8 if possible.

What directions coming from the direction of Sydney?

You need your RTA drivers license, helmet, long pants, long sleeves, top and enclosed shoes (extinguisher not required). They don't scrutineer cars (at least not road cars). Cost is about $90 + $40 (for 12 month track license).

Each hour is split into several sessions, usually 20 minutes each. One for road cars, one for race cars, and another for Open Wheelers. If there are too many road cars (more than 15) they will split it up into 2 groups. First session starts at 9am, I think sessions stop around 4pm.

Good idea to have some decent meat on your brake pads. And keep an eye on your power steering reservoir during the day, or better yet have a cooler. If you go out every session you will probably run out of fuel (not kidding) but town is only about 10 minutes away. They have a place to pump up your tyres at the track. And bring aeroguard. They have a decent canteen there where you can get old-style takeaway hamburgers etc.

Coming from Sydney just take the M5, the first Goulburn exit, drive through town and follow the signs to Wakefield Park. It takes about 2 hours and is an easy drive. If you want to meet up with us we are going early. Departing 5:40am from the Mobil Service Station at Roselands. Should get there around 8am, giving us enought time to do the paperowrk and get cars ready for 9am start. You can call me on 0408-327-007

Hope to see you there

No timing equipment on these open days. Perhaps use the stopwatch function in your dash, have someone time it, or get some in-car footage where you can time it later.
