G'DAY
Im after a reputable auto transmission specialist (in sydney) to fit a shift kit to the VZ. For a while now the box has been slipping first to second (auto), even while tuning the car the gearbox pressures were increased, and no reaction whatsoever. Im being robbed of power here people and would like a a shift kit installed so i can start enjoying my baby.:nyuk:
If anyone can recommend that would be great.
Thanks

Thanks for the response VooDoo (& ryzz).
I have been trying to get in touch with craig for the past two months.
Seems like he doesn't want my money:doh:, he never returns calls! Too much of an effort to give someone my money. Gonna have to look else where!!

Maybe speak with Malwood in QLD then. I dont know if they do Auto's as well but it would be worth the phone call. These guys are pro's!

Worth calling Maen Khalil on 0425 292 569 whose shop is called Khalil Race Transmissions in Sydneham. My cousin vs senator 215i gearbox kept slipping and he done his box there and it is one of the strongest boxes i have seen. guareenteed to last.

I notice that your car is tuned by one of the forum sponsors - maybe you should call them regarding a referral to their preferred auto specialist.
Surprises me that "Craigs" haven't returned your calls - there usually pretty good.

That was the case already. Sonny and Myself suggested Craigs automatics for being on of the most well known auto tranmission guys for the LS1 boxes, so we decided to take it there. Thats as far as it got! To much of an effort to even speak to the guy.
I think there may be other issues and maybe they don't want certain customers which deal with particular workshops "I Don't know" but that is not my concern!
My concern is "I want by gearbox fixed" don't care who does it as long as they know what they're doing.! :)
This is not In anyway an attempt to start a shit fight! Please keep it this way:)
Cheers

Get your tuner to check line pressure settings in the PCM.If the figures are ok,get pressures checked at gearbox by auto trans specilaist or Holden(if you Dare!!).Lots of people have got line pressure settings wrong in the past, just worth checking....
