Contributor?

Does anyone know how many threads a person must start, or contribute to before they are off the mark? I've been doing this for a couple of months and am still a person who "has not contributed to the forums".

I think that the forum is a great resource for all. I would like to know what percentage of people have actually sold or purchased a vehicle through the Vehicle Classifieds in this site.
Anyone got a story to tell? I advertised my car and had many people look but no real interest, to speak of.

I believe posts only start counting when they are in the "technical" section.

I reckon the site FAQ ( forum rules etc ) might help you there.

Just one point: shouldn't "fair contributor" be a step before "forum contributor"? "Forum contributor" sounds kinda more important than the other one.

I just graduated to "occasional contributer to the forums" at 100 posts.

As you were saying about, maybe they should make some of the goals a little lower. I mean Voodoo has been on here for years and participated and has 4500+ posts but would just be "Substancial Contributor to the Forums" when he should be "One of the top Contributators to the Forum".

Can we lower the bar a bit. I will never be right up there coz I dont work in the office (no offense but I cant reply straight away) but the guys who post alot (office guys and the smart bloke who know what theyre talkin about [unlike me!]. I get home and most of the Q are answered.

What about if you get to a certain number of post, you get a small description under your name? Like i see dickie has.

For instance i could have "Pro Dreamer"
