Just my opinion of course, but if I wanted to mod this to look different/better than the previous owners taste and thus make it more 'yours' I'd consider a real clubsport body kit (or a clone) to replace the one thats on it. I think the front and rear bars currently are trying a bit hard to be HSV and look a bit rice because of it.
That said, you're a young guy and this is a young guys car for sure. Enjoy it!

Just a bit of negative feedback. I no that I will probably never get a car like that, and really i love the whole car, but the wheels look too small, im really not into big wheels that look small!! the ride height isnt the best either, maybe drop it a bit more and get some new rims, other than that i love it, the flames really set it off.

It looks like a VN with a clubby bodykit. You know the ones... Cheap bling rims, cheap bodykit, cut springs.

Paint looks awesome, but find a stock kit for it, and spray it to suit. Would look tops. And get some nice classy rims.

Dont worry mate, a lot of tossers post on this site. you ask people for their opinion on a car, and they end up giving their opinion on the owner. and if thats not bad enough, if they dont agree with your own opinion, they make a smart ass remark to you personally.

it's nice car but i'd go for a stock kit and a new boot if i were you (those lights don't suit it), if you did that it'd be one nice looking car mate.
keep doing mods, but keep in mind you want to do up a holden so it looks like it could have come straight out of a designers sketch pad, not a weird hack job.
the rims look alright, paints pretty good and i like the boot (inside).
Thats quite nice, I am more for the subtle look myself (if you can call a clubby subtle), but thats a nice package.

Well, I actually knew the guy who used to own the car. Tony (the owner of Fibremaster). It didnt cost him as much as you would think. I think he said that the airbrushing set him back the most. The bonnet and bodykit and boot is all his own personal work.
In my opinion, the pics dont do the car justice at all. It is a much nicer car when you actually see it. I havent been to his shop in a while (since he sold it) but it seems as though he has raised the car up a fair bit. Last time I saw it was decked on its a$$.
Anyways, the guy loved this car and took really good care of it, so at the end of the day its a good buy. Personally I dont like the rims but everything is top notch. A lot of work went into customising the boot.

Not being a smarta$$, but arent you only 16?
Having said that though, if you have confidence in your ability, please advise what you would think would be a good set of rims and kit for a hothouse green VY SS.
And what is your opinion on a XR8 bonnet on a ss?

There's not much fun you can have with the hothouse green, but at a stab I'd say:
Wouldn't touch the kit
Senator Boot Lip Spoiler
Ultra lows for ride height
19 or 20" DUB Shorelines, very low profile tyres.
Silver bowties, front and back
I'm also pretty sure VY HSV lights would look nice in the SS, with the teardrop hole filled in, but I'm yet to have the correct pics to photochop them in. Also, the XR8 Bonnet would look pretty good fashioned into a VY bonnet correctly, but I'm yet to see one in action so I don't have a definite opinion on that.
I'm not expecting you to like what I like, you could have completely different taste to others.

Dont like the body kit or the tail lights, like the bonnet and the flames are a nice touch, But its just a bit to ricer for my tastes, i like the clean look.
But at the end of the day its a car that stands out and your happy with it so thats all that should matter.
Red can you put some VZ senator rims on my VT and lower it?

Not a bad suggestion. I think you are in for the classy look. I prefer the fatter and meatier look (if that makes sense). Im gonna get grilled for this, but thats what the VE's have lost. Its lost the muscle appeal, and adapted a more european styling to it.
Anyways, getting back on track. I got a set of 19" SSW Multispokes. Im probably gonna get the SSX front bar, crewman guard thingos and an xr8 bonnet. not everyone will like it, but everyone is different.

Yeah, I prefer the subtle but aggressive look, but I would either go with what I suggested or what you did, both have as much appeal.
Sounds like it'll look the goods mate, be sure to post pics of it. And I agree the VE's have lost their muscle appeal, VY SS has a definite street presence.

its alright, but just a few things i personally dont like, youve got the monaro/coupe kit going off at the front, first off id paint that the same color as the car, piss the bonnet off and make it a standard one or an actual monaro bonnet..
another thing wheels are a huge part of your cars look, they either make it or break it so dont skimp, those wheels are okay, but it gives it a.. wtf kind of image, some nice 18/19/20's with low pros will set it off..
after those i think itl look tough as..
